Dr. Iddrissu Mutawakilu

Mutawakilu Iddrissu Ibun is a professional medical practitioner and educator, serving as a senior lecturer at the University of Ghana Medical School, where he specializes in neurosurgery. He obtained his medical degree from Martin Luther University in Halle, Germany, and has since gained a wealth of experience through a diverse range of medical positions.

Dr. Mutawakilu has held various roles within the healthcare industry, including serving as the former Board Chairman of the Tamale Teaching Hospital, a board member of the Civil Aviation Medical Board, and a member of the Neuroscience Board at the Korle-bu Teaching Hospital. He is also an examiner of the West African College of Surgeons in Part II Neurosurgery. Dr. Mutawakilu began his medical career with surgical, medical, and pediatric house jobs at the Martin Luther University, as well as working at the Buxtehude Teaching Hospital.

He later served as a senior resident doctor and registrar in the Department of Neurosurgery at the Bremen Central Hospital and was the former head of the Neurosurgery Department of Surgery at the Korle-bu Teaching Hospital.
